I know I talk a lot about self care on here, and I also know how difficult it can be to either just start (I see you, fellow procrastinator) , or to continue a habit instead of relying on emotional bursts of self-care.
so I thought I’d share with you some incredibly practical, one-time things you can do, that will have a long-term effect inspiring enough to keep you on track.
3 POWERFUL PRACTICAL WAYS TO INSPIRE HABITUAL SELF CARE
ONE | create a capsule wardrobe
this is something I’m currently tackling, and even though I’ve just barely started, I’m already feeling the benefits of it. a capsule wardrobe consists of a limited number of clothing items, virtually all of which can be mixed and matched. goodbye “I don’t know what to wear“. seeya later “I don’t like anything in my closet“. adios, taking forever to get dressed, only to take it all off and grab that same shirt you wear almost daily. this is seriously a life saver. you can find endless resources on pinterest, or join one of the many facebook groups full of babes who will inspire and advise you if you’re just starting out!
TWO | start meal prepping
meal prepping involves mixing up most of your meals for the week ahead of time, so that you don’t stare into the fridge with your eyes glazed over, wondering what to make for dinner. it also ensures that you won’t be running to the grocery store for forgotten ingredients multiple times a week. all the work is done in advance, so you just have to reheat, or toss your prepped ingredients into the crockpot, pan, or casserole dish. it saves hours every week, plenty of frustration, and buckets of cash. are you sold yet? 😉
THREE | schedule weekly you-time
yup. whatever it is, make it the same time each week and just block out your calendar. whether it’s a coffee date with a dear friend, getting a manicure, going for a hike, hitting the yoga studio, or just sitting in your favorite spot and reading, hold your you-time sacredly. don’t fork it over to the business of the world. recharge and step back into the world refreshed.
which way will you try first?!
